Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Sweet Escape luxury Bed and Breakfast Retreat. By paying and a making a booking to stay with us, you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:-

PRICES
Our prices, indicated on our website, are per bedroom (double occupancy) and include a continental breakfast.
Payment needs to be in full by 2 weeks before arrival. 

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Arrival: Check-in time on your first day is strictly between 4pm and 9pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. 
 
Departure: Unless varied by prior agreement, on the day of departure, we kindly request that you vacate your bedroom by 10.00 am to allow us time to prepare it for our next guests.
 

CHILDREN
Due to our lake and livestock, we can only accommodate children of 14 years and over, for which you will need to book our second bedroom. By prior agreement, we can also accommodate babies and young toddlers. Please note, that we do not provide high chairs, cots or any other children's equipment, and you will need to bring your own travel cot and bedding.

WHEELCHAIR USERS
We are regret to say that Trefnant Bach is an old building with narrow doorways and passages and uneven floors, and is therefore unsuitable for wheelchair users. Please see our Accessibility page for further information.

DOGS AND PETS
Very regrettably, no dogs or pets are allowed at Trefnant Bach, due to our livestock and resident wildlife. However, by prior arrangement, you may choose to board your dog with Green Wellies Gareth in our village.

SMOKING VAPING, E-CIGARETTES 
We have a no-smoking policy throughout the entire grounds and  house. This policy extends to vaping and the use of e-cigarettes.

MAKING A BOOKING
Bookings are normally for a minimum stay of two nights, but may be extended at certain times.
A reservation must be accompanied by a deposit paid by electronic banking at the time of booking, to secure your room. All prices given on this website are per room (double occupancy) and include a continental breakfast. Bookings must be paid for in full by two weeks before arrival. by on-line banking.

Special Requirements: If for any member of your party has any special requirements  e.g.  dietary, please let us know at the time of making the booking. A copy of our access statement is available on our website.

CANCELLATION
 If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room, in which case a full refund will be made. We reserve the right to retain the full amount  in the event of a late cancellation within 14 days (before noon) of the day of your arrival where we are unable to re-let the room(s). It is your responsibility to secure suitable holiday insurance to cover the cost of cancelation.

CURTAILMENT
 If you have to curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room for the days you cannot stay. If we cannot re-let the room, then you will still be liable for the remaining outstanding balance. If we are able to re-let the room for part of your remaining booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the room is not re-let.

NON-ARRIVALS
Should you fail to arrive without letting us know, we will be entitled to retain your full payment.

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS
If the person paying for the booking is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who pays for the booking will be held responsible for cancellation, curtailment or non-arrival fees as well as damage or loss

POSTPONEMENT
If you need to postpone or change the dates of your booking, please give us as much notice as possible so that we can try to re-let your room. We will be happy to transfer your payment to a new booking, subject to availability. However, if we are unable to re-let your room, it will be treated as a cancellation or curtailment.

NON-AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMMODATION
We would only cancel your booking if your room was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  In such an event we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

DURING YOUR STAY

Noise: Our aim is to offer all our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and we kindly ask guests to respect the quiet enjoyment and relaxation of other guests.

Visitors to rooms: Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms without our prior agreement.

Accidents happen: Please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage, so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the room cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for our loss of income.

Missing / Lost items: Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys, or keys not returned, will incur a £50 charge.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
